Ajay Sagar worked with Asian Development Bank and held senior managerial roles. Ajay is an experienced executive in finance, ESG, public policy, investing, development, and governance arena having dealt with economic and finance ministers, central bank governors, financial and industry regulators, sovereign funds, private equity entities, FIs, think tanks, project sponsors, civil society, media, academia, and industry associations internationally. 

 

Ajay is a contributor of opinion pieces on climate, finance, and economic issues bringing Asian and global perspectives. Skilled in board governance, capital raising, financial strategy, investing, and project financings. Keynote speaker at events organized by World Economic Forum, United Nations, Chatham House, Bretton Woods, OECD, US Eximbank, International Chambers of Commerce, IFIs, academia, and media. 

 

Ajay represented ADB as the non-executive director on boards of investee entities in private equity, financial, and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining ADB, Ajay was a Managing Director at Bank of America as a member of its Asian management team.
