Mr. Aggarwal has an extensive banking career history spanning 25 years, having worked with Citibank and Union Bank of Switzerland (Singapore). He commenced his banking career with Citibank in India in 1975, immediately after graduation, where he gained valuable work experience through various domestic and foreign tasks. During his tenure with Citibank, he worked as a Regional Risk Asset Reviewer in the Asia Pacific group, assessing risk exposures in several Citicorp businesses across Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and India.

 

In 1990, Mr. Aggarwal left Citibank and joined Union Bank of Switzerland ("UBS") in Singapore, where he was appointed Chairman of the East Asia Credit Committee. He was responsible for managing counter-party risks in the region during a time when UBS was rapidly expanding. As Director of UBS (East Asia) Ltd, Singapore, he was also involved in corporate and structured finance, initial public offering underwriting, direct investments, and other functions.

 

For the past decade, Mr. Aggarwal has been actively promoting and managing new private firms in Singapore, India, the United States, and Australia, primarily in industries such as media, technology, and building materials. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India
